Cardiovascular Disorders More Prominent in Men Than Women

The occurrence of the cardiovascular disorders is being noted to be more prominent in men than women. The heart of the men is comparatively weaker than that of the women. As per the death statistics, the percentage of the men who die due to the cardiovascular disorders is much more in comparison to that of women. This fact really makes the old saying true that, “men are strong at brain and women are stronger at heart.”

Heart disorders are common among the men as they are more prone to the unhealthy lifestyles. The unplanned eating habits are mainly the reason that deteriorates the health of the heart. Excessive intake of the foods that are rich in the carbohydrates are the main reason behind the heart problems. The tendency of eating such fats and carbohydrates has been noted to be common among the men. Due to this habit the amount of the bad cholesterol in the body of the men is being boosted that reluctantly results in the abnormal issues related to the heart.

Fats and carbohydrates are the real culprits behind the occurrence of the heart problems; they may make you prone to the atherosclerosis. The production of the plaque in the body is being increased due to the excessive amount of the fats and carbohydrates stored in the body. The plaque that is formed gets moved on from one location to another with the blood through the arteries. At some location this plaque gets deposited due to the excessive plaque amount in the blood. This damages the blood supply. If this plaque gets deposited in the artery that supplies blood to the heart then it ultimately leads to the blocking of the necessary blood supply to the lungs, which results in the heart failure.

Men are more prone to the heart disease because they play a very less attention toward their heart health. It is very necessary to do the heart check up at least once in the year as it gives you a complete idea about your heart health. Also, it has been noted through many of the research studies that occurrence of some of the heart diseases is hereditary in men. It means some genes are responsible for passing the information from one generation to the next. If any one of your parents is suffering with the heart problems then you are double times prone to the heart problems.

The problem of the obesity is much more common in men that in women. This may be one of the reasons behind the occurrence of the cardiovascular disorders more in men than women. The obesity results in the results in the excessive deposition of the fats on the chest that puts lots of pressure on the chest which results in the abnormal functioning of the heart and may further results in the heart problems. Emotional imbalance in the men is another reason that makes the men prone to the cardiovascular disorders. Men are not able to cope up with the emotions and thus they keep all the feelings submerged in the heart that results in the heart problems.

To confirm whether cardiovascular disorders are more prominent in men that women, a study was conducted by the International Heart Institute. In this study around 500 men and women belonging to the different age group were being involved. The heart check up of all these subjects was being carried out by the heart surgeons. It was concluded through this study that very less women were facing the heart problems than that of the men.
